Graduate Program

The M.Sc. in Mathematics was created by the Agreement 0096 of May 27, 1997 and authorized by the Education National Ministry according to Resolution 1378 of 1998.

The plan of study lasts four semesters in which the student must complete mandatory and elective courses, as well as seminars. The advisor for a student's research project, from which a final thesis is developed, is selected by the student from the second semester forward. A student fulfilling the program requirements is granted the title of Master in Mathematics.

The M.Sc. in Mathematics produces researchers in the various disciplines of mathematics and its applications with solid theoretical foundations and who are able to lead projects, yield and divulge new knowledge, and engage themselves with fluency as university professors.
